Softball Rec Rules

Player Clarification Rules are as follow.

  1. All rosters must be turned into division commissioner before the first game of the season. No new players can be added after May 18th.
  2. THERE WILL BE NO TRAVEL TEAM PLAYERS PERMITTED IN ANY DIVISIONS EXCEPT 18U GIRLS. CITY HEADS ARE RESPONSIBLE TO POLICE THEIR OWN CITIES. IF FOUND GUILTY OF VIOLATING THIS RULE, THE GUILTY TEAM WILL FORFEIT ALL GAMES THAT HAVE BEEN PLAYED UP TO THE REPORTED VIOLATION AND THE GUILTY PLAYER WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE TEAM.
  3. 10U GIRLS WILL BE AN EXCEPTION TO THE RULES AS EACH PLAYER MAY PLAY IN A MAXIMUM OF 2 TRAVEL TOURNAMENTS PER CALENDAR YEAR.

The following are the definitions of the players-

a) RECREATION PLAYER:  Any player entering pixie or first year player at any division.  Any transfer player from an "all players play" municipal league or any player registered and competing ONLY with a rec team the season prior.

b) TRAVEL TEAM PLAYER:  Any player that competes with a fastpitch organization whose teams are not affiliated with a municipal league and which participation is not open to all but created solely by tryout and/or invitation. This includes players that just fill in for limited travel games.
